The energy industry is directly involved in distribution of energy to the economy and industries for empowering daily life activities.

There are two categories of energy resources- renewable and non-renewable. Renewable resources include biofuels, hydropower, wind energy, solar power and hydroelectric. Whereas non-renewable resources are natural gas, gasoline, petroleum, diesel, coal, heating oil and nuclear energy. The industry also comprises secondary resources such as electricity. The prices of energy resources totally depend upon the supply and demand of energy. Oil and gas is the biggest segment of the energy and power industry. AI is anticipated to be a transformative factor as it helps in forecasting the demand and managing the appropriate distribution of resources so that all the resources reach at time and place where it is required with minimal wastage.
